About You:

At HOULÈS our goal is for our showroom to be an inviting, creative, and collaborative environment for our clients. We view our relationships with our clients as being part of their design process. The candidate that would be most successful in this role would be a thoughtful manager, who works independently while also participating in our collective team effort. They would have a positive attitude, established A&D client relationships, and a friendly disposition. They would be self-motivated, focused, a team player, possess problem-solving skills, multi-tasking abilities, and strong interpersonal skills. Most importantly they would have strong selling instincts, and a genuine thirst for driving sales.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Showroom Manager at the D&D Showroom; responsible for all aspects of showroom management while actively selling
  • Oversee and manage two inside/outside sales representatives, train, mentor, inspire
  • Responsible for all aspects of the sales process; selling, order entry, follow up, processing, and tracking
  • Customer Service for NYC territory
  • Manage/maintain NYC territory client list
  • Proactive business development; seek/develop new, established, and inactive clients
  • Be a brand ambassador and a trusted resource to clients on all Houlès product categories
  • Daily/periodic showroom tasks; organization, installing new launches, general showroom upkeep
  • Support senior management as needed
  • Contribute and provide market feedback from clients
  • Organize and participate in trade shows in the tri-state area
  • Plan and execute showroom market events
  • Work with trade publications

 

Requirements / Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience in showroom sales or showroom management
  • Established A&D client relationships is required
  • Experience and/or knowledge of Interior Design. Knowledge of trimming, drapery hardware, and/or fabric, a plus
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage and work as part of a small team
  • Proficient in computer applications (Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook), required
  • Follow-up, organization, planning, and documentation skills
  • Strong work ethic, ambition, and drive
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to an international environment

 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary + commission
