Job Title: Showroom Sales and Administrative Associate

Department: Corporate Showroom

Report to: Corporate Showroom Manager


Ensure each client’s visit to the showroom is a positive experience by providing professional and knowledgeable sales service. Assist showroom team in achieving sales objectives through selling activities for the assigned sales territory

  • Develop thorough product knowledge through day to day selling activities, research and participation in vendor and product training
  • Promptly greet client and visitors. Determine client needs, wants, budget and motivation to maximize selling opportunities. Be prepared and willing to suggest alternates, expand the scheme and add-on product ideas
  • Educate new client about our products and services by providing a showroom tour and product presentations. Provide credit application to prospective clients and assist in account set up
  • Answer phones and assist customers as needed
  • Assist team in “order follow up” using the weekly reserve report by making daily calls and sending emails to update and alert designers of order status.
  • Must have excellent computer skills (PC), proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and be proficient in all aspects of the Thibaut operating system to ensure excellent and timely customer service.
  • Order entry – processing customer orders and follow up regarding to status, payment, delivery information
  • Maintain continuous contact with clients, soliciting appropriate feedback and using information to build selling strengths
  • Working closely with the outside sales representatives and with management to create strategies to grow client business and strengthen ties between our outside and inside sales team
  • Participate in the new product showings with outside sales representative
  • Actively participate in showroom events. Attendance at industry events such as ASID, Dwell with Dignity and design center functions are strongly recommended
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure team sales are achieved as directed by Management
  • Prospecting for new clients is key to achieve sales growth
  • Other tasks and duties as requested from time to time by management. At all times representing the company core values of the Thibaut brand

Memo room duties require organizational skills. Duties include:

  • Receive new product and prepare for the shelves and files cabinets
  • Assist team in putting up new product on banners and racks
  • Track, order and receive replenishment memos
  • Pull memo requests for clients
  • Pull discontinued product in a timely manner from the memo library and showroom displays
  • Assist in “shops” for designers from email and call-in requests


  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required
  • Fluency with Windows/PC
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word); experience with CRM software is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional etiquette and listening skills are key
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize activities throughout the day
  • Proactive, resourceful, self-motivated, and accountable
  • Team player with a willingness to take on various tasks as needed
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under stressful situations
  • Some light-to-moderate lifting required (20-50lbs max)
  • Ability to ascend/descend stool and a small ladder
  • Ability to bend or reach shelves and file cabinets when filing and pulling memo samples
  • Experience in high-end sales and /or customer service with a background in interior design is preferred
  • This is a full-time position, and requires Monday-Friday 9am-5pm availability
