de Le Cuona new Studio Collection featuring Edward Watson
Posted on 03/04/21
The Studio Collection brings an entirely new ethereal experience to de Le Cuona’s fabric library, drawing inspiration from art in all its forms. From ballet dance to Japanese poetry, each fabric in the range is a celebration of movement, beauty, and ethereal elegance. As with all de Le Cuona collections, the time-honored craftsmanship and finest linen, wool and silk fibers take centerstage, with each design paying homage to the arts, honouring icons of the past and present. Across the seven distinct styles that comprise the collection – Atelier, Attenborough, Ballet, Haiku, Hawker, Montage, and Muse – the common thread is de Le Cuona’s signature soft neutral palette. Each is woven using abstruse weaving techniques., such as Bauhaus inspired block printing, interlocking and interlacing yarns, contrasting warp and wefts, and a curious use of paper and embroidery to achieve a stunningly unique result. From delicate sheers ideal for draping to a tightly woven mélange wool on a linen base perfect for upholstery, The Studio Collection is truly a curated compilation of the most intricate and unique fabrics.
