CLARENCE HOUSE TO COMMEMORATE 60TH ANNIVERSARY WITH SPECIAL DESIGN A DECADE PROGRAM
Posted on 03/31/21
FEBRUARY 2021 (Tulsa, OK) – In 2021, the legendary brand CLARENCE HOUSE will celebrate its 60th Anniversary as a style-setter in the decorative fabric industry. Founded in 1961 by New York interior designer Robin Roberts, throughout its sixty-year history the brand has produced some of the most iconic and storied textile patterns in the industry, including those that were created under the creative leadership of Kazumi Yoshida. In celebration of this milestone, CLARENCE HOUSE will honor each decade of its legacy with a special program that will be rolled out over the course of the year. The brand has enlisted six top interior designers, and assigned each a specific decade, to create a design moment using CLARENCE HOUSE patterns both past and present. The brand is thrilled to have the talents of Rayman Boozer (1960’s), Michelle Nussbaumer (1970’s), Garrow Kedigian (1980’s), Keita Turner (1990’s), Drake/Anderson (2000’s) and Frank Ponterio (2010’s) help celebrate this anniversary. “I am honored and excited to see how each of designer, through his or her own artistic expression, interpret the decades through CLARENCE HOUSE textiles,” says Kazumi. “Throughout my time at CLARENCE HOUSE my designs have been inspired by my travels and enthusiasm – I am excited to get a fresh new perspective for use of these patterns.” Throughout the course of the year, the group of designers will share some of the most iconic and beloved designs from the brand’s history both socially and through a series of events. The program will kick off with a discussion between Rayman Boozer and Kazumi Yoshida hosted by interior designer, VERANDA columnist, and host of the IG Live series "High Tea with Joy", Joy Moyler on Feb 25th, and will continue in the spring with Michelle Nussbaumer as part of ADAC’s Spring programming. “I could not think of a better way to celebrate our 60th than to look back at the decades that led us to where we are,” says David Klaristenfeld, Vice President of Fabricut. “With the help of our talented design partners Clarence House reflects on how the past guides us to our future.” CLARENCE HOUSE is available exclusively to the trade through Fabricut showrooms.
