POSITION PURPOSE:
The Showroom Sales Representative will serve as a key contributor to the showroom’s success, focusing on enhancing the overall customer experience and achieving sales objectives. This role centers on providing excellent customer service, understanding, and addressing customer needs, and effectively communicating the value of our products. You also play a crucial role in driving sales and creating a positive, lasting impression for our customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Acquire in-depth product expertise through daily sales activities, ongoing research, and active participation in product training sessions.
- Welcome clients and visitors promptly, discerning their needs, preferences, budget constraints, and motivations to optimize sales opportunities.
- Demonstrate flexibility by suggesting alternatives, expanding on design schemes, and proposing additional product ideas.
- Orient new clients to our products and services through comprehensive showroom tours and engaging product presentations.
- Handle phone inquiries and assist customers efficiently as required
- Contribute to order follow-up procedures by utilizing the weekly reserve report. Make daily calls and send emails to keep designers informed about order status.
- Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of the Thibaut operating system, utilizing excellent computer skills to ensure outstanding and timely customer service.
- Manage order entries, including processing customer orders and providing updates on status, payment, and delivery information.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, actively seeking feedback to enhance selling capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with external sales representatives and management to formulate strategies that foster client business growth and strengthen connections between the inside and outside sales teams.
- Proactively engage in client prospecting initiatives to drive sales expansion.
REQUIREMENTS, REASONING ABILITIES AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Strong understanding of retail sales and customer service. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Willingness to contribute ideas for enhancing showroom efficiency.
- Analytical mindset to interpret data, assess trends, and make informed recommendations.
- Ability to think critically and make decisions in line with company policies.
- Job requires the use of a computer, phone, calculator, and other technological equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the showroom for extended periods.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years’ experience in administrative roles, preferably in a showroom or retail environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, team members, and management.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address issues and find effective solutions.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in administrative tasks.
- Familiarity with showroom operations, customer service, and administrative tasks.
