Founded in 1929 by Italian immigrant Franco Scalamandré, Scalamandré is a distinguished American luxury textile and design house renowned for exceptional craftsmanship, quality, and timeless design. From its first silk yardage woven in Long Island City to its iconic patterns that have shaped interiors for nearly a century, Scalamandré has become a leader in fine fabrics, wallcoverings, passementerie, and custom decorative solutions.
Today, Scalamandré’s portfolio includes its three core brands—Scalamandré, Old World Weavers, and Hinson—alongside a curated collection of distributed and represented brands, offering one of the industry’s most comprehensive selections of luxury textiles and wallcoverings. Committed to preserving its heritage while embracing innovation, Scalamandré manufactures many of its products in the United States at its own production facility in Calhoun, Georgia, delivering exceptional design and craftsmanship for residential, hospitality, and contract interiors.
